Fleet diversity, cutting-edge technology, and unique property and liability hazards pose many insurance challenges. Each state has exemptions to auto laws or regulations that represent a collection of safe harbors, or defenses, from potential liability that would otherwise apply, such as when farm vehicles and farm machinery are being operated on public roads.
